Omen Def Mk.II Tweeter Kit
Kits are made to order and ship within four weeks. Upgrade your non-Radian Omen Def Mk.II loudspeaker tweeters to the same Radian 850 based tweeters we use in Soul Supreme, Druid Mk.V and Definition Mk.IV loudspeakers.
This kit will not fit the original Omen Def [Mk.I] or the Omen Def Mk.I-B loudspeakers.
Omen Def plinth assembly is highly recommended due to the added weight of the Radian 850 based tweeter assembly. Capacitor and high-pass network are installed, no soldering required.

2x critically matched pair of Radian-850 drivers
2x critically matched high-pass filter networks for the new tweeters [featuring ClarityCap MR capacitors (ClarityCap MR is our go-to recommended cap for the 850 tweeter)

Return Of Old Parts Credits

How Long Does This Take?
3 hours of labor. This is a pretty easy swap out, just replace everything.
What Tools Are Needed?
Clean tabletop and blanket or pad, so you can operate on your speakers as they lay speaker drivers up
5mm hex square drive screwdriver
1/8” hex screwdriver
What Are The Sound Improvements?
Treble is much smoother, detailed and intigrated—not a small or subtle improvement. Note, this kit is only offered while inventory of the 850-16 tweeter remains. Each pair of Radian 850 are matched and trimmed within the high-pass network to best blend with the full-range drivers.
Torques
FRD - First pass around, gently torque the screws.
FRD - Second pass around, torque firmly; using standard screwdriver and one hand, about 10 inch pounds, [1Nm].
FRD - Third pass around, torque a bit more; using standard screwdriver and one hand, about 20 inch pounds [2 Nm].
New tweeter assembly, 5mm hex drive, 8 nM torque.
