Mini-Method Amp
New Version Mk.III
Kits are made to order and ship within four weeks.
Our MiniMethod subwoofer (now out of production) is legendary, one of the most musical smallish subs ever, and this despite the rather cheap plate-amp we matched up with it. The amp sounded good enough but it was a typical subwoofer plate-amp.
We have made a direct replacement that is based on the subwoofer amp we developed for our Undertone Mk. III subwoofer, featuring Lundahl interstage transformers, the excellent Hypex UcD 400 DS4.0 V5 amp module and expanded controls and signal processing.
No soldering or special tools or skills required—simple screwdriver and basic push-on connections.
Note, photos are slightly different than what you will receive. Knobs are now machined by Kilo International and are hard black anodized witch-hat style with white arrows, just like the ones we use on the current Undertone, Submission and Definition. Five-way binding posts are also a bit different. Internal jumpers are now made from #20 and #22 Event-level hookup wire and all insulation displacement connectors are bypassed. Lundahl interstage transformer isolation is now used within the speaker-level input circuit—the recommended input if you are using high efficiency speakers such as Zu.

Here’s What The Kit Contains
1x Zu Subwoofer Plate-Amp Mk.III—same mounting hole pattern, no drilling or cutting required.
1x New cable harness for connecting the dual 10” subs to the new plate-amp.
10x Deep cutting corkscrew-like threads for awesome holding power (Phillips #2 drive).
D.I.Y. Warranty
Limited two year warranty on parts only. No warranty for your workmanship. Zu will cover shipping on parts and D.I.Y. service is expected.
Factory Warranty
Limited two year warranty on parts and workmanship, cabinet areas that are not modified are not covered. Zu will cover shipping on parts and D.I.Y. service is expected.
Limited five year warranty if extended warranty and factory service are purchased/performed. Covers all parts and labor including the whole of the cabinet. If warranty is needed complete loudspeaker shipping may not be covered. Zu will cover shipping on parts and D.I.Y. service is expected.
