This 16 ohm, nanotech full-range drivers work with Druid-1 through Druid-5. They are kitted out and go into a quick 7-day burn-in upon order (they ship out in 7 to 10 days from the time you place your order).

This kit is for new full-range drivers, the high output, 16 ohm nanotech drivers [Zu103ND-16]. No nameplate is include in this upgrade, the upgrade identification is simply the driver model name that's machined in to the center cones of the new full-range drivers (visible head-on).

This kit is covered by your 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Install the drivers, give it a month to burn-in and sound it’s best, after which if you decide the cost isn’t worth it, reinstall the original parts and send the kit back for full refund, we pay return shipping.
How Long Does This Take?
1 hours of labor. This is a pretty easy swap out, no soldering, just screwdriver work.
What Are The Sound Improvements?

Do These Drivers Also Work With Soul Supreme?
Yes, Zu103ND-16 drivers are the same for Druid Mk.V and Soul Supreme. Soul Supreme was made without change from 2010 until the pandemic.
Torques
FRD - First pass around, gently torque the screws.
FRD - Second pass around, torque firmly; using standard screwdriver and one hand, about 10 inch pounds, [1Nm].
FRD - Third pass around, torque a bit more; using standard screwdriver and one hand, about 20 inch pounds [2 Nm].
Tweeter Lens - #1 square drive screws, about 10 inch pounds [1nM]

Why a 16 ohm loudspeaker in today’s market? Because there are still hundreds of amp models being made today that will sound their best on a loudspeaker that presents an easy-going 16 ohm load to the amplifier.
Druid, like our old Soul Superfly is our single-minded response to the needs of users of amplifiers that benefit from friendly 16 ohm loudspeakers. That list of amps includes most vintage amps, and any modern amp that is, or can be optimized for a 16 ohm loudspeaker—single-ended triode (SET) vacuum tube amps, output-transformerless (OTL) vacuum tube amps, some solid-state like some of the First Watt models, and even many of the mid-fi Japanese receivers. Yes, there are advantages for a high impedance loudspeaker. Our design target from the outset was focused on extracting every last bit of tone and texture of such amps while getting even better power and definition out of the system.
