Dirty Weekend / Top Five Questions

Omen DW production is in high gear, just four weeks from the sale going live. Noon, April 2 (Mountain Daylight Time) on www.ZuAudio.com. And with the nearing of the Dirty Weekend sale, we’re getting hit with questions, nearly all regarding the details of the sale—seems performance is understood.

  1. How do I order them and how fast do they sell through?

  2. What are the shipping and tax costs?

  3. What are the details of the 60-day satisfaction guarantee?

  4. How does the one-year trade up program work?

  5. Is the ClarityCap MR capacitor upgrade make a difference?

1. How to order. While we have doubled production for this sale, we still anticipate selling through within hours, not days. Access will be through www.zuaudio.com. Note, we will not be answering phone calls that day. Omen DW will show sold out until the sale goes live, and again once we sell through. Fulfillment and shipping will be timestamped—early in early ship. The first fifty or so orders will ship immediately, all complete with 100 hours of very high power burn-in. Orders outside the first fifty will be shipping throughout April and with the same level of burn-in. Each order not able to ship the same week will get a target ship date reference within 24 hours of your order. Once your new speakers go into the burn-in we will notify you and give you a solid ship date, allowing you to consider your schedule and adjust if needed.

2. Shipping Shipping to you is a flat $99 per pair anywhere within the contiguous United States. Alaska and overseas customers need to call or email before the sale for shipping quotes. Sales tax for this Omen DW sale you will not be charged, except Utah. Note, this is almost certain to change soon as each state now has the green light to charge interstate sales tax and most are ramping this up, effecting even small manufactures selling direct.

3. Zu’s 60-Day satisfaction guarantee agreement and we pay return shipping. We give you two months from the time your loudspeakers are delivered so you can know if they live up to the hype. If after six to eight weeks of trial, and you have reached out to us for help in getting them to sound their best, you decide they do not meet your expectations we arrange for FedEx to come pick them up, on our dime. The original shipping amount to you is not refunded.

Details: We do ask that you give the product proper consideration, reaching out to us for help in getting them to sing—we have a mountain of experience, we’re nice and we like to help. If you send them back before the six week mark or without first talking with us, you are subject to shipping charges and a 20% handling and restocking fee. If more than two months are needed, say you're also evaluating the competition or another component that has not yet made it to you, simply call or email us at anytime within those first two months and we’ll give you an additional month of trial time—we want you happy.

This guarantee assumes the loudspeakers have not been abused and are packaged and shipped back using the original packaging. Guarantee does not cover loss, damage, shipping charges not agreed to or other related costs.

4. One-year trade-up program. At anytime within one year of purchase you may trade-up. We give you 100% of the price you paid so long as your loudspeakers are in excellent condition. Credit can be applied to any Zu loudspeaker up the line from Omen DW. We do not cover the return shipping of the Omen DW nor the shipping of the new pair to you. Even so, we make this as convenient and affordable for you as possible. We arranging for the Omen DW to be collected by FedEx and extend to you a flat shipping fee of $99 for each pair each way (subject to change). That’s just $198 out of pocket for shipping on both pair.

5. Yes. Recommending the ClarityCap MR capacitor upgrade is easy, the most performance improvement a hundred bucks can buy you. It puts the treble more at ease, more liquid, while simultaneously increasing resolution of transients and tone.
