Enjoying the Definitions
Zu Audio exhibited with Alpen Audio in room 589 of the 2006 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest.
Zu and Alpen had three system set up to give listeners an opportunity to hear Zu's Definitions, Druids, and Mini Method with relatively modest electronics.
The Definition room featured an Esoteric CD player, Modwright pre-amp, and Music Reference RM10 MKII tube amp all sitting on a Grand Prix Audio Monaco rack. The Definitions were finished in our High Gloss Crystal Blaze Pearl Coat.
One Druid room was set up with a Slim Devices Transporter and the new Musical Fidelity Triple X system also on a Grand Prix Audio Monaco rack. The Druids were finished in our Silver Frost.
The second Druid room featured a Satin Black Mini Method, Rega P3 turntable, Rega Saturn CD player, Modwright pre-amp, and RM10 MkII amp. One Druid was finished in a High Gloss Orange with all blacked out aluminum and the other Druid was finished in a High Gloss Sky Blue with all blacked out aluminum.
The Zu room was at the end of the hall and we were very pleased with the steady flow of traffic on all three days. It definitely seemed that there were more out of towners present than locals. We had many people return several times and even after show hours for more extensive listening. A big thanks to Marja and Henk from 6 moons, Doug and Marc from soundstage, Dave, Carol and Sam from Positive Feedback, Todd from EnjoyTheMusic.com, and Jeff and Marc from Tone Audio for all taking the time to say hello and sit down for a quick listen.
Most important, thanks to all the consumers for giving us the opportunity to prove our products.
Zu had a lot of people come specifically to RMAF to hear the Zu speakers and the response from those who took time to sit down and listen was overwhelmingly positive. Thanks to everyone who took time out of their day/weekend to visit us and thanks for bringing your great music.
