Rubber HiFi Footers (4x - add twice for 8)
Price is for a set of four (4). If you need enough for a pair of loudspeakers order two packs.
Engineered rubber-type footers will significantly reduce the transmission of vibration between the loudspeaker and the floor.
Hi-Fi version of the Zu Footers are not only a better looking version, but also increase performance and dramatically reduce the risk of color marking your floor. The overall coating we apply is a black matte product out of Germany called Nextel. New bottom-side ring is clear rubber and hand applied wet.
Note, these footers are not designed to slide, the bottom-side clear rubber ring can get peel off when you try and slide the speaker. Instead of sliding, simply “walk” the speaker via small, incremental pivots on the footers.
What does this bottom-side ring of rubber do? Since it is clear it safeguards the footer from color imprinting on wood floors. And as it is hand applied wet it is highly bonded with the footer so it will not peal off without serious intent. The clear ring also improves the friction between footer and floor making your loudspeakers (or audio gear) more planted, less slick—Nextel without the clear rubber ring actually has a pretty low friction coefficient.
These specifically engineered rubber-type footers will significantly reduce the transmission of vibration between the loudspeaker or subwoofer and the floor. In most cases this reduces noise and improves resolution.
The coated hi-fi version look better than the pro version and help protect wooden floors against staining or marking. Sold in packs of four (4). The two versions are the same besides the coating and the extra care in cosmetics.
Four rubber footers will properly function and support up to 160 pounds.
Rubber footers feature 3/8-16 female insert. This is the same size we use on all of our bottom inserts. This size also allows the pass-through of 5/16, 1/4 and M6 and smaller screws. See photos for dimensional detail.

Here’s what these vibration damping feet do:
Reduce vibration between equipment and flooring.
Protect your wood or tile floor without having to slide coins or glides under the original equipment ball-end footers. When installed, the gap-height of some Zu loudspeakers (the space between the bottom of the speaker and floor) is no longer altered by adjusting the footer, instead use magazines (Rolling Stone fits perfect) or the like between the floor and loudspeaker bottom to create the desired gap. [Details on gap here]
Where spikes cut through the carpet and couple the mass of the speaker and the floor, these footers decouple. Decoupling lowers the loudspeaker cabinets fundamental resonance significantly.
Your neighbors will also be less annoyed as these feet will significantly reduce the number of calls you get from those living under and around you.
Simple to install, the rubber feet have a threaded insert that fits the original ball-end footer screws. Simply remove the nut from the ball-end screws, turn the screw so there is about a 1/2” [12mm] visible, thread the rubber foot onto the screw and cinch it up by hand. The only tool you need is a wrench to loosen the 9/16” [14mm] ball-end screw nut.
