Zu is fully committed to protecting your privacy. We will not sell, trade, rent or in anyway disclose your personal information to anyone without your permission, except in cases of liability, legal action or compliance with U.S. or Utah law.

 

Information we may collect and how

We do not automatically collect any personal information about you including name, address, telephone number, and email address; we don’t even subscribe to caller I.D. for telephone communication. We do however obtain some types of non-personally identifiable info such as the ISP you use to connect to the internet.

When purchasing product from us we will collect certain personal information to identify you, protect against fraud, and secure payment; all of which can be avoided if desired with a cash transaction. We may ask for your personal information when discussing a service or guarantee issue.

We do not track or collect individual data regarding activity on ZuAudio.com.

 

When we disclose your information

We may be required by law or litigation to disclose your information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for security, law enforcement or other issues of public or trade importance, disclosure is necessary.

Our credit card and payment processors: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, merchant services... may also collect information about you in order to process your payment. If you do not know your credit card and issuing bank’s privacy policy we would advise you contact them.

 

We will not be sending you email unless you specifically request it

We dislike all forms of unsolicited sales communication, and with the exception of a once a year email sent to all Zu customers, or you have requested to receive information, you will not be hearing from us. For those that would like to hear from us about new products, special offers, events, and other news, please signup or request to be on our email mailing list.

 

How we protect your personal information

ZuAudio.com uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption in all areas where personal information is requested. To make purchases through ZuAudio.com you must use an SSL-enabled browser, most are. This technology protects the confidentiality of your credit card and other personal information.

Also to safeguard your information, we route secure sockets layer within the same network as our shopping cart, all controlled by Zu and components of our site’s very robust Joomla framework.

Your personal information stored in our accounting software is also heavily protected with isolation from networks, local encryption, machine encryption, and program specific encryption. This secure database is located in Ogden, Utah, in the United States.

 

Cookies, web bugs and beacons

We do not use cookies to track personal information. Cookies are lightly used to improve your experience on our site and we cannot use these general cookies to personally identify you. We do not require cookies to be enabled on your browser unless you are making a purchase through our website. Also know that we do not use any form of web bugs, beacons, or pixel tags in our site or email to track or obtain any personal information.
