Definition 1.9

(Made to order. Fulfillment depending on production schedule and finish selection; typically a six to eight week cycle.)

A Definition Mark One.Nine (Mk1.9) is reworked MDF core from an original Definition fitted with Definition Mk2 parts. It’s what you get when you allow original Definition and Definition Pro owners to trade their old speakers for new Definition Mk2. We have taken these trade-ins, completely updated, remanufactured, and refinished them. The finished product is nearly that of the Definition Mk2 but without the new Def Mk2 super-ply cabinet core material and a few minor differences in cabinet bracing; but otherwise as close as we could remake them to current Definition Mk2 specs. Machined name plated are complete with Mk1.9 designation and serial numbers. Definition Mk1.9 models will come with a 2-year factory warranty. Complete with new owners manual, cleaning kit, and packaging.

All information given about the Definition Mk2, including usage and setup is relevant and applicable to the Definition Mk1.9. The only difference sonically between these two products, Definition 1.9 vs Definition 2, is the cabinet resonance and timbre. While there is way less cabinet noise from the Mk1.9 after remanufacture and finish compared to the original Definition, it is still not as free of
resonance as the Definition 2; but that’s it.
