Zu Wylde-XLR is an interconnecting cable designed for the analog transmission of balanced, line-level signal. Wylde cable assemblies are made to set lengths and are exactly matched. The design and processes used to create Wylde yield a very consistent high tolerance interconnect with a very flexible hand. “Sound”of Wylde-XLR is bold with excellent weight and attack but without being mellow or warm—it is very open and neutral, clean and effortless.

Direction of Signal Propagation

Zu Wylde-XLR interconnects are directional and set at the factory. Still, they are marked with a directional arrow next to the product label. We pay close attention to direction of manufacture of all points, from wire to cable, and identify direction by placing the labels at the source end, with the text reading in the direction of recommended signal flow. “Wylde” as printed would read away from the source (transmitter) and toward the load (receiver). Example: player > Wylde > preamplifier. Connecting it with the labels at the source ensures matching channel fidelity, increased burn-in speed and allows the user to easily identify direction after cable or gear swapping.

Burn-in

Wylde, being all Teflon® insulation, will require play before it’s fully burned in, roughly 400 hours. We do not recommend any burn-in devices or special recordings. We do recommend music you enjoy, preferably upbeat full spectrum recordings: rock, roots, full orchestra, big band.... Maintenance

No maintenance is required for the cable or the connector. The connectors on Wylde-XLR are heavy pure silver plated, high copper brass alloy. They are very unlikely to ever need cleaning as XLR pin and socket connections are self cleaning as they are connected and disconnected.
