COMMITTED TO MANUFACTURING

Today Zu is known for efficient and innovative solutions to real problems, craftsmanship, and products that reveal tone, texture, and dynamic realism. Currently, Zu manufactures over half a million feet of wholly original audio-specific cable a year, on machines that are also of their own design (original cable design demands original cable manufacturing equipment); terminates over 200 specialty connectors each day; and ships hundreds of products a month to customers all over the world. In loudspeakers, Zu has manufactured and sold over a thousand pair, and has continually expanded production capacity and efficiency to facilitate continued growth and quality improvements.

This ambitious U.S. company strongly believes innovation and quality are only realized when those most passionate about the product are the same people actually making it. Zu products are conceived, engineered and made by them in their home town of Ogden, Utah. Simply, innovation cannot be outsourced.

“When a tangible products company loses its hands-on connection with the objects it makes, maximizing margin instead of product performance, originality is usually lost and the product is debased. Consider Western Electric, Edison, RCA, Tesla, Altec and so many others once well known for ground breaking creativity. When innovation and quality cease to be a company’s motivating force, sayonara to inspiration and personal satisfaction.” —Sean Casey
