Zu believes in real environment friendly manufacturing, no fluffy feel good bullshit, just the real deal; and not because of some great googly moogly “climate change” geopolitical power play nonsense. It’s simple isn’t it? People like being healthy and to enjoy blue skies, green hills and wildlife. We keep our impact to a minimum because we get out and enjoy nature and don’t want to mess it up. So here goes the consumer responsibility spiel, no hate mail please. Zu makes good stuff, stuff that will last and that you can pass down to your kids, stuff that isn’t going to end up in landfills. Take a good close look and you will find that U.S. based manufacturing is pretty damn efficient, and at least as green as any other country—simply the result of technology advancements and workers that care. But to outsource? Like a junky passing the responsibility and looking for a fix... lack of manufacturing integrity is not exclusively the result of greed by the western brands, it’s the consumer’s fault as well. Both have grown numb to responsibility it seems; consumers always trying to get the most for less, looking for the quick high instead of the lasting satisfaction in a product that is innovative and well build. Zu holds that manufacturers and users have equal responsibility and an obligation to their respective communities. Users and producers must search for real solutions and maximize their positive impact on family, community, nature, product, and technology.
